The CommPort program provides a simple method to test the operation of various serial port and MNEA devices. I had previous used Microsoft's HyperTerminal for testing but Windows Vista does not include HyperTerminal and Microsoft's replacement application doesn't have the same capabilities of the old HyperTerminal.
The CommPort program can also be used to test the connectivity of serial port modems.
