ConnectAid Program

Description:

The ConnectAid program was designed to make the connection process with AirMail program easier.  Although the AirMail program connection operation is straight forward, I have found it sometimes difficult to connect to a base station.  The base station may be busy on a different frequency, or propagation may be poor.  When I am having problems connecting, I have often had success by changing to a different base station or frequency.  To assist the connection process, the ConnectAid program presents a list of the best stations and frequencies to use, and then automatically cycles through the list.

At each station and frequency in the list, the program will first set the radio's frequency.  It will then ask you to listen to the channel and determine if there is any signal activity or high background noise.  If you determine that the channel is clear, the program will attempt to connect.  If a connection is made the program will wait until all the data has been transferred and then stop.  If no connection is made or if you determined that the frequency was not clear then the program will repeat the process on the next station and frequency.
