The picture on the left shows an area of interest near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The chart is the latest version from CMAP and shows a large river heading inland for several miles. The dislayed range ring is 1 mile.
The second picture is of the same area and scale using a ChartAid Chart. Notice that the river is just a small inlet of 1/2 mile housing Paradise Village Marina. The displayed boat is correctly georeferenced to slip B-6. Comparing this picture with the one above illustrates the value of ChartAid.
